The airline suspended the MAD-NRT route in 2020 because of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travelandtourworld.com\/news\/article\/singapore-records-56000-covid-19-cases-issues-travel-advisory\/\" title=\"\">COVID-19<\/a> pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iberia&#8217;s exlcusive year-round service will open from Oct. 27, 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It will operate 3X-weekly with an Airbus A350 aircraft configured to carry 330 passengers, including 31 in business class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iberia says it will offer more than 45,000 seats on the route during the 2024-25 northern hemisphere winter season through March 25, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDue to the closure of Russian airspace, the flight path to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travelandtourworld.com\/news\/article\/new-strawberry-chocolate-afternoon-tea-at-four-seasons-tokyo\/\" title=\"\">Tokyo<\/a> has been adjusted,\u201d the airline says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Given the critical role of winds in route planning, customers flying roundtrip with Iberia will do a round-the-world trip, as the outbound from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travelandtourworld.com\/news\/article\/madrid-a-high-imapct-european-destination\/\" title=\"\">Madrid<\/a> to Tokyo will be done across the south and the inbound across the north.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mar\u00eda Jes\u00fas L\u00f3pez Sol\u00e1s, Iberia\u2019s commercial and network development and alliances director, says the carrier&#8217;s return to the Japanese capital, &#8220;together with the recently launched direct flights to Doha \u2026 confirms our commitment to Asia.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The economic growth of the countries in this continent is immense, as indicated by all the forecasts for the coming decades,\u201d she adds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iberia says it will time flights to MAD so NRT-originating passengers can connect to the carrier\u2019s services to destinations throughout Europe and to Latin America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Iberia will resume flights between Tokyo and Madrid after 4 years in October 2024.
